Objective	Studying pelagic biodiversity in the Dover strait and application towards a geographical system. The related projects are INTERREG II Kent / Nord Pas-de- Calais and Biodiversity and mapping of marine resources on either side of the Dover strait. Head scientists were Philippe Koubbi, Benoît Sautour (France) and Mike Walkey (United Kingdom).

Summary of measurements

-39 CTD profiles and hydrological samples taken at the surface and at the bottom
for nutrients, chlorophyll a, suspended matter and POM.
-39 vertical WP2 net hauls for (200µm).
-39 fish larvae samples using the double BONGO collected with 500µm nets.
-3 legs with the Continuous Plankton Recorder, complemented by nutrient,
temperature and salinity measurements.
