Objective This cruise is related to the study of passive margins, and more particularly the evolution of the Corsican margins formed during the opening of the Ligurian- Provence basin, the drift of the drift of the Corsica-Sardinia block and post- drift evolutions, in the Lower Miocene (21 to 15 Ma). The BOCCA 99 mission's objectives were focused on the post-rift evolution of meridional platforms between Corsia and Sardinia, aiming to survey and characterize: - seismic facies, - Miocene series deformations, - Miocene series mapping, - morphology of the current erosion surface. This falls under the INTERREG II - Corsica-Sardinia project. Study of the shelf of the South Corsican shelf (Bonifacio straits). The seismic reflection profiles were acquired with a Airgun (mini GI) and six-channel streamer and with a sparker and a single-channel streamer. Sidescan sonar imagery was also acquired.
