Objectif La campagne ANTARES 4 a pour objectif la description et la quantification des stocks et des flux de matière biogène (C, N, Si) produite dans la couche euphotique et exportée en profondeur, afin de permettre la modélisation de la pompe biologique de CO2. La zone d'étude, comprise entre les Fronts Sub-Antarctique et Subtropical, dans le bassin Crozet-Kerguelen, constitue, aux saisons biologiquement productives, un puits majeur de CO2 dans le secteur Indien de l'Océan Austral. Le projet de rattachement est le programme ANTARES (France-JGOFS). La zone d'étude concerne les Fronts Sub-Antarctique et Subtropical, dans le bassin Crozet-Kerguelen. Elle se situe dans le périmètre 42 deg 30-46 deg 30S et 60 deg -66 deg E.
