Objective Testing the vessel, teams and equipment under real conditions to optimize the strategy for future cruises. This includes scheduling the time needed to cover the zone between the 15 and 80 m probes in performing all planned operations in the protocol; optimal team needed with respect to operations to be performed (working on demersal, benthos, plankton, measurements, maturity stages, stomach comments and environmental parameters); based on this initial sampling, perfecting an environment for keying in the data that is adapted to the material studied. Testing the Le Drezen AP4 prawn trawl as a way of sampling benthic and demersal populations on seabeds in French Guyana. Identifying the species (amongst those which are essential for GREEN cruise objectives) which have clear nyctheremal rhythms in order to adopt the most appropriate sampling strategy. Establishing typological bases for the benthic macrofauna community in French Guyana. Making an initial estimation of the sub-surface zooplankton abundance, assess what this type of sampling can contribute to work on the PNOC's "Resources - Environment" theme. In particular, checking the presence of early larval stages of Peneid shrimp (nauplius, protozoe and mysis) and proposing a protocol that meets the need for locating spawning zones and modelling the transport of larvae towards nursery areas. The related programs are: The National coastal oceanography programme (PNOC-Guyana site), IRD's ELISA on coastal ecosystems influenced by the Amazon, IFREMER's programme on Fisheries resources outside of the EEC. Studies made on parameter B90 (Other biological/fisheries measurements) were broken down as follows: -demersal fish: 3,404 measurements, 21 stomach contents, 35 otoliths and scales -prawns: 1155 measurements, sexing and maturity, 50 samples for isotopic analysis - crayfish and spiny lobster: 15 measurements, TL, CL, weight.
