Objectif	Il s'agissait principalement de mouiller deux bouées Atlas du programme PIRATA. L'une, Valse mouillée par 10 deg W/5 deg S, l'autre mouillée par 10 deg W/0 deg N. Durant le trajet du navire ont été effectués des radiosondages bi-quotidiens au moment du passage d'un satellite NOAA/ATOVS estimant le profil vertical de la vapeur d'eau. Par ailleurs, et répondant à une demande d'une équipe TV de FR3, un documentaire vidéo a été tourné pour le compte du magazine "Thalassa". Les programmes de rattachement sont PIRATA, ECLAT, CLIVAR. Le déroulement de la campagne s'est effectué avec une dizaine de jours de retard suite à une arrivée tardive du container en provenance de Seattle, et contenant le matériel Atlas. Initialement il avait été prévu de mouiller Valse à 6 deg S/10 deg W. En raison d'une présence de nombreux palangriers en arrivant dans la zone, nous avons choisi de mouiller Valse un peu plus au Nord (à 5 deg S/10 deg N).
