Objective | Building up time series of abundance indices for the main demersal and benthic species in the Celtic Sea and the Bay of Biscay. Measuring inter-annual changes in their recruitment. Mapping the spatial distribution of species and their inter-annual variations, as well as the source of this variability. (biotic and/or abiotic parameters, impact of fisheries). Studying the benthos and the predation it is subject to. Looking for processes to process and conserve horse mackerel pulp. The related programmes are: Assessment of EC-managed fisheries and non-EC fisheries, Fishery ecosystems and the Fishery information system. The cruise had 2 legs: On the first leg, the head scientist was Jean-Claude MAHE and on the second, Robert BELLAIL. |
