| Summary of measurements |
- -A station (total duration 1 hour) took place as follows. Desired salinity found using a shipboard TSG;
-Note: depending on the sea state and time available, hydro and zooplankton samples could be either done together at each station or performed separately during two passages at stations.
-1- Hydro
-A sounding profile is performed to determine the intermediate level for sampling (haline gradient).
-Several 12-liter Niskin bottle sub-surface samples are taken for nitrogen-15 absorption experiments.
-3 8-liter Nisken bottle sampels are then taken: surface (-1 m), gradient and bottom (1 to 2m above the seabed).
-2- Zooplankton
-Pumping (300 l/min) at sub-surface, filtration in a net on deck:
- 500 5m twice (1 formaldehyde for species + 1 biomass C, N, P,),
- 200 5m twice,
- 80 5m twice.
