Objective

Studying energy exchanges between the ocean and atmosphere and transports in the jets associated with the North Atlantic drift under winter conditions. The objectives include research on surface fluxes (parametrization by strong wind, variations when perturbation passes, and through surface fronts) and on the characterization of the mixing layer (physical and biological) inside and outside of jets. The related project is an international FASTEX/PATOM experiment.
