Objective | The CALMAR (acronym for CAtalano-Languedocian MARgin) cruise had the main objective of performing a survey with multibeam echosounders of the continental margin sectors located between the canyons of Sète and Cap Creus, in the Gulf of Lion. However, the first part was devoted to core sampling and mapping in the Gulf of Valencia: 48 hours of work done on behalf of the University of Barcelona on 13, 14 and 15 November, in the framework of a ship-time exchange (the data remains the property of the Spaniards, Dr Miquel Canals). 2nd part: studies in CALMAR zone. |
