Objective Long-term monitoring of the functioning of the water-sediment interface at 2,300 metres depth in the Ligurian Sea: highlighting and quantifying the biological and geochemical responses to seasonal variations in particulate organic inputs. The missions which make up the DYFB project have covered several years (since 1990) and are conducted aboard RV GEORGES PETIT or RV TETHYS II. This DYFB cruise (DYFAMED-BENTHOS) falls under the DYFAMED-JGOFS France project.
