Objective Studying the recruitment of the main species in the sessile epibiota on pebbles, i.e. the brittle star Ophiothrix fragilis: -Understanding the process from genodic maturing to sedentarization. -Understanding the proportion of physical forcing and that of biological regulation (ontogenetic vertical migration and/or recognition of adults). -Estimating the consequences in terms of fluxes of matter and population stability. This falls under the GLOBEC/PNDR project.
