| Objective | Defining, on the common sole, flounder and whiting: -The causes of movement of spawning grounds of a few species further offshore during the season studied, -What are the zones, periods and mechanisms in which lateral transfers of larvae, highlighted during previous cruises, are possible; particularly the influence of the front zone and the coastal river in ichthyoplankton dynamics (survival, growth, etc.), -The significance of longitudinal transfers of larvae between the Eastern English Channel and the North Sea and the possible retention mechanisms, -The relations between copepod populations and fish larvae in the English Channel sector. The related programme is REISE, which also includes the SIPCO project. The dates of the REISE programme were 11-13/04 (and 02-05/05 aboard RV COTE DE NORMANDIE). |
