Objective

Mapping and geophysical imaging of area surrounding Taiwan in an active arc-continent collision zone. The sectors studied included the southern segment of the Okinawa basin, the east of Taiwan as far as 124 E, i.e., the flank of the coastal chain and its connection to the Ryukyu Arc to the east and Luzon Arc to the south, the south-west of Taiwan with a sector in the South China Sea and another on the margin off Kaohsiung.
