Objective To obtain a series og high quality long piston cores (up to 40 m in lenght) mainly from the turbidity basins of the Mediterranean using the giant piston corer developed by IFRTP. Arange of high resolution stratigraphic techniques will be applied to these long cores to investigate particle and geochemical flux variation through time over last 600.000-70.000 years. Le projet de rattachement est EU MAST II PALAEOFLUX PROJECT.
