Objective	Assessment of small pelagic stocks, particularly anchovies, in the Gulf of Lion using the direct method. This utilises the echointegration technique during daytime prospection (continuous logging of signal) and provides and spatial-temporal evaluation of the biomass of small pelagic fishes from detections observed. Trawl hauls for identification are performed, as well as stations for plankton sampling and hydrology in order to characterise the environment. The related programme is "Biology and population dynamics of fished species".
