Summary of measurements |
- Longitudinal profile in the salinity gradient (salinity 0 in the vicinity of Bordeaux) up to 33 in the Gironde estuary. Water and particle samples (pumping of large volumes and centrifuging).
-Performing a longitudinal profile in the salinity gradient of the Charente estuary, working in association with the oyster-farming barge L'Estran from La Rochelle. -Sampling at 3 specific points at half ebb: at the Gironde, the pertuis de Maumusson and the Charente estuary. -On these 3 sites, particle sampling by pumping large volumes of water and recovering them after centrifugation. Samples combined with plankton samples (Niskin) and plankton nets with different mesh sizes (63 to 200 µm). -Sampling at 10 points at the Pointe de la Coubre headland to accurately quantify elementary metal fluxes (dissolved and particulate phases) coming out of the Gironde estuary. -Sampling with Shipeck and Reineck grabs (preserving the vertical structure of the sediment) at Meschers to supplement the mapping of metal concentrations in surface sediments of the Gironde. -Manual surface sampling and physical-chemical measurement on a transect between Pauillac and Blaye to ensure that the automatic station of the MAGEST network in the Gironde estuary is spatially representative (zodiac dinghy used).
