Objective Studying the concentrations of CO2 in surface water, variability of time and space, PCO2/chlorophyll ratios in Spring in the southern hemisphere. Correlation with hydrological and biogeochemical measurements in situ using satellite data (temperature, ocean colour, wind). The study focused on both subtropical oligotrophic zones, zones of intense upwelling and frontal zones. The data are used to constrain general circulation models which simulate oceanic carbon cycles in the medium and long term. This involves supplementing the measurements in the Indian Ocean; some areas have hardly been or not been studied yet. This cruise is the 29th MINERVE cruise.
