| Objective | This cruise follows the SELECT 4 cruise aiming to improve the selectivity of bottom trawls. SELECT 4 demonstrated good survival of groundfish juveniles, but also an immediate, and excessive, loss of marketable fish. The objective of SELECT 5 is to test a new grid (110 x 50 mm) which can provide an acceptable compromise for professional fishermen. |
