Objective Estimating the rate of deep mixing in the Equatorial zone using the temperature and kinetic energy dissipation method by measuring the microstructure of ocean turbulence. Observing the current between the surface and bottom, and estimating transport in the fracture and through sills. Vertical structure of Equatorial zonal currents. Obtaining time series of the hydrological structure, especially in the deep passages of bottom water.
