Objective In the framework of the ecological and fisheries monitoring programme for the nuclear power plant site of Penly (Seine-Maritime), studying the benthic domain has been the object of four-yearly biomorphosedimentary prospection since 1988 (Penly-1988, SONPEN-1992). This study should make it possible to highlight any modifications in sublittoral seabeds in the area around the power plant. The subtidal biomorphosedimentary studies performed in 1988 and 1992 provided a reliable image of the morphology, sedimentology and biology of the seabed. They also make it possible to examine the dredging spoil discharges off Dieppe as well as prospection westward to the Cap d'Ailly.
