Objective	Observation of hydrological and currentometric structures along the 156E meridian on legs repeated 18 times between 5N and 5S in the Coral Sea between 20S-New Caledonia and 6S-Bougainville strait, and study of these structures' spatial-temporal variability, in relation to atmospheric forcing and the ENSO (El Nino and Southern Oscillation) phenomenon.

Summary of measurements

-165 CTD stations, with samples taken using rosette at 2 levels.
-Retrieval of the PROTEUS buoy adrift around 158E and its redeployment at 5N-156E.
-Repairing of IMET meteorology buoy in the equatorial zone.
-Deployment of 32 Niiler type drifting buoys, 4 Marisonde and 17 Bodega.
-Retrieval and redeployment of ATLAS moorings at 2S and 2N.
-Measuring currents at 0-400 metres while underway using an ADCP profiler.
-Underway temperature and salinity measurements every 5 minutes (SBE -21 TSG).
-Meteorological measurements (continuous recordings and every 3 hours).
