Objective The MUSORSTOM 7 cruise ran in the economic zone of the Wallis and Futuna Islands. 142 dredging and trawling operations took place in the upper bathyal zone, on the slopes of the islands of Futuna, Alofi and Wallis, and on the slopes of the many seamounts that dot this region. Organisms, described from New Caledonia, are found for the first time on the Pacific plate (Sphinctozoaires, Gymnocrinus, Amalda). Benthic fauna exploration was carried out in a depth range between 100 and 1,300 m.
