Objective Quantifying the Antarctic circumpolar current crossing Fawn Trough. Determining circumpolar water mass exchanges between the basins on either side of the shelf. Testing the feasibility of monitoring transport variability using satellite altimetry. Identifying climate change in deep Antarctic water masses on the eastern flank of the Kerguelen plateau.
