Objective A full coverage bathymetric survey of a NE/SW corridor, 45km wide and 350km long, extending across the Mediterranean Ridge from the Hellenic Trench to the abyssal basin of Sirte was carried out during the HERALIS cruise of the R/V L'ATALANTE in July - August 1992 in the framework of the european MEDRIFF program (MAS20037). Raw data are available on request made to the French National Oceanographic Data Center IFREMER/SISMER (sismer@ifremer.fr). The summary report and the track plot of HERALIS can be consulted in the SISMER catalog of the French multibeam surveys : http://www.ifremer.fr/sismer/catalog.htm .
