Objective Study of the Barbados accretionary prism. This cruise made a detailed study of the three sectors which are representative of the three ways fluids are expulsed: 1) by seeping along faults; 2) by mud diapirism and volcanism in the trench; 3) by diapirism and seeping at the deformation front. For each of these three zones, the main objectives are to: 1) map fluid emission outlets; 2) type biological communities; 3) estimate fluid flow rates and perform chemical analysis of interstitial waters; 4) study in detail the correlations between fluid outlets and tectonic structures.
