Objective	Mapping (multibeam bathymetry and 3.5 kHz sediment sounder) of the fjord in Table bay (S49, E069) in the Kerguelen archipelago (TAAF, Indian Ocean) in order to optimize the location of 3 coring stations (each comprising 1 box core, 1 gravity core and 1 Calypso core). This will enable the Lateglacial-Holocene fluctuations of the Ampère glacier, which has shown significant retreat over several decades, to be reconstructed. Establishing the lithology of core samples based on visual descriptions and analyses on the Geotek test bench performed on board. Establishing the correlation of coring stations based on summarizing sediment sounder data and the litho-stratigraphic logs.

Summary of measurements

-Acoustic mapping of the Table Bay fjord (multibeam bathymetry, 3.5 kHz sediment sounder).
-Choosing A, B and C coring stations and conducting a water column study at each station with a CTD cast.
-Taking box and gravity cores at each station (total length of sediments sampled: 16.45 m).
-Calypso core taken at each station (total length of sediments sampled: 87.42 m).
-Opening and sedimentological description of 103.77 m of core samples.
-Analysis on the IPEV's Geotek bench (magnetic susceptibility, density gamma) of 103.77 m of cores.
-Sampling of macro plant remains and shell debris for future C14 dating.
-Litho-stratigraphic correlation of stations.
-Summarizing data and drawing up mission report.
-Conditioning the sediments sampled in refrigerated container to be shipped to France.
