Objectif Le programme général est le programme international PIRATA. Il s'agit ici de la 19ème campagne française du même type (d'où le nom FR19), dénommée PI2-09-AT dans la nomenclature du PMEL/NOAA. La précédente campagne PIRATA-FR18 qui avait été réalisée en septembre 2008, associée à une campagne TACE, a permis d'effectuer le remplacement des 4 bouées Pirata situées dans le Golfe de Guinée. La campagne FR19 a permis la maintenance des 5 sites ATLAS : Au premier leg sur les bouées situées à 0°-23°W, 0°-10°W et le relevage d'une bouée supplémentaire à 0°-0° qui avait été vandalisée pendant la précédente campagne FR18, et qui n'a pu être récupérée faute de temps. Au deuxième leg sur la bouée à 0°-0° puis les 2 bouées du rail 10°W à 10°S, 6°S.
