Objective The main objectives were to obtain: 1) Almost-complete bathymetric coverage of the axial zone of the Mid-Atlantic Ridge between 40N and 33N, in order to highlight the geometry of structures of rift valley s segments and the offsetting zones between segments; 2) Magnetism and gravimetry data in order to study the relationships between the structure and accretion processes. The cruise also made it possible to supplement knowledge about the crest of the ridge between 33N and 17N and obtain 4 samples in the framework of a study on sedimentary recording of hydrothermalism, as well as 4 basalt samples.
