Objective	Estimation of the size composition of discards for hake, Nephrops prawns and sole by small-scale offshore trawlers fishing between the Glénan islands and the Landes coast. The samples taken supplement the sampling done in some fish auctions and make it possible to obtain the size composition of catches (landings + discards) of fishing vessels. Size structure and yields of main commercial species. Study of hake¿s diet.

Summary of measurements

-36 trawl hauls using 25 m ¿Vendéen-type¿ bottom trawl.
-Size composition of catches and yields of main species (hake, sole, angler, Nephrops, whiting, goatfish, seabass and meagre).
-Otolith and illicium samples taken for age determination.
-Observation of 1,270 hake stomachs, sampling 443 of them for laboratory study.
