| Objective | Performing an additional study to improve and complement our knowledge about the morphology and terrestrial physical fields within the perimeter of the economic zone in order to specify and situate all the structures which may be present in the zone. The ZOE501, ZOE502, ZOE503 and ZOE504 research cruises aimed either to increase the density of measurements already taken in some parts of the economic zone or to establish complete coverage of huge areas never studied previously. During these four cruises, some 70,000 measurements points were performed and the general coverage of the economic zone shows a relatively homogeneous density of measurements (map 8). All data are stored in the Geomer geological and geophysical database. |
