Objective	Studying the seasonal distribution of fisheries resources in the Bay of Biscay (from shore to the 600 m isobath) and the Celtic Sea (at depths between 100 and 600 m). Summary of measurements

-194 bottom trawl hauls made using GOV 36/47 trawl, lasting 30 min, at depths between 15 and 600 m.
-With each trawl haul: Sorting, weighing and counting of all species caught.
-Measurements taken on species of real or potential economic interest.
-Samples of hard tissues taken (otoliths, fin rays or illicia) on hake, cod, whiting, pollack, common ling, dab, megrim, sole and anglerfish to determine age.
-Size/weight and live weight/gutted weight measurements taken.
-Batch samples of whiting, dab, blue whiting and great silver smelt for the SCPRI programme (titration of radioelements).
-20 vertical (surface-bottom) temperature profiles were taken on a leg running from ENE/WSW, from depths of 30 m to the north of Noirmoutier to directly above 500 m-deep seabed in the Azores.
-An E-W leg in the Celtic Sea (latitude 49 30' N from the Azores at depths reading 100 m).
