Objective Following numerous regional exploration cruises (SAME, 1986; PRENICE, 1987; CASANICE, 1989), this cruise involved calibrating, on perfectly defined and delimited target points, the core samples and geophysical data available by making direct observations of the seabed (Cyana submersible) and physical measurements in situ (geotechnical module). This cruise was an integral part of the research programme developed by Ifremer since 1988 in order to identify, map and understand the processes of sedimentary instabilities affecting underwater slopes, in particular off Nice.
