Objective In the long term, predicting recruitment of sole, the main source of variability in stock estimations of marine animals, whether fished or not. With highlighting environmental factors which have the greatest impact on the success of young cohorts; understanding the mechanisms controlling the development of different larval and post-larval stages. SOLDET 8 follows on from the SOLDET cruises 4, 5 and 7.
