Objective In the long term, predicting recruitment of sole, the main source of variability in stock estimations of marine animals, whether fished or not. With: 1) highlighting environmental factors which have the greatest impact on the success of young cohorts; 2) Understanding the mechanisms controlling the development of different larval and post-larval stages. SOLDET 8 follows on from the SOLDET cruises 4, 5 and 7.
