| Objective | The cruise took place in order to: 1) Study the behaviour or some deep sea species (300 to 800 m) with high commercial value, aiming to increase their catchability by improving the fishing tool and analyse their distribution; 2) Provide elements of reflection to perfect a quantitative assessment methodology whose results could be compared to indirect stock assessment methods. Special mention amongst the species studied were: the red shrimp Aristeus antennatus, Nephrops norvegicus prawns and the angler fish species Lophius budegassa and L. piscatorius. Post-processing of all the recordings should make it possible to at least partially meet the objectives set. |
