- -37 CTD casts from 0 to 2,000 m taking 12 samples to analyse salinity, chlorophyll, nitrates, nitrites and phosphates.
-37 current profiles from 0 to 600 m. -36 net hauls from 0 to 500 m for micro-zooplankton biomass estimations. -Routine meteorological measurements and surface samples taken every 3 hours. -55 XBT casts in all; every 30 nautical miles from 20S to 3S and from 3N to 10N; every 10 nautical miles from 3S to 3N. -Deployment of an ATLAS buoy, ORSTOM/PMEL thermistor chains at 5N/165E and 2S/165E. -4 drifting buoys released at 6N, 4N, 2N, 0 on 165E.
