Objectif EQUAMARGE II a eu pour objectifs généraux : 1) la réalisation de carte type SEABEAM sur des zones restreintes afin de préparer des plongées ; 2) l'étude de détails de certains secteurs de marges transformantes et de zones de fractures issues d'un mouvement transformant initial. Les objets choisis ont été 2 secteurs de la marge sud-guinéenne, 3 secteurs de la marge de Côte d'Ivoire et du Ghana, 1 segment de la portion active de la Z.F. Romanche. La navigation était assurée par système GPS (12h) et transit.
