Summary of measurements

-Track: leg out and back 20 S / 10 N along the 165 E meridian.
-34 echosoundings with STDO2 (0 to 500 m, 0 to 1,500 m, 0 to 2,000 m) with 12 samples taken for various analyses (salinity, chlorophyll, oxygen, nitrates, nitrites and phosphates).
-34 current profiles from 0 to 600 m per current profiler mounted on drifting buoy.
-33 vertical plankton net hauls from 0 to 500 m and 14 hauls from 0 to 200 m to estimate the biomasses of micro- and meso-zooplankton.
-90 XBT shots.
-Deployment of an ATLAS buoy and thermistor chains (ORSTOM/PMEL) at 5 S/165 E; releasing 3 drifting buoys at 2N, 0 and 2S along the 165 E meridian.
-Every 3 hours: routine meteorological measurements, taking surface water samples to be analysed (salinity, chlorophyll).
-34 CTD stations.
