| Objective | Defining the quality of marine sediments (subaqueous pedology), and their state of health. Comparing the geochemical and biogeochemical properties of sediments off the mouth of a river and off an urban wastewater outlet (sewage not treated before discharge). The related national project is QUALISED + CNRS ATP Geology-Geophysics of oceans. The related international project is the European commission's Community Environmental Research Programme. The QUALISED mission was conducted in March, August and November 1986. |
