Objectif SMIB 1, première partie du programme "Substances Marines d'Intérêt Biologique" a pour objectif principal la recherche de principes actifs d'intérêt sanitaire (de nouvelles molécules à intérêt thérapeutique). Les substances étudiées sont extraites d'invertébrés du lagon Néo-Calédonien et de ses environs.
