Objectif	Campagne pluridisciplinaire consacrée à l'exploration et à l'étude d'iles de l'océan Indien encore très méconnues à savoir les iles Saint Paul et Amsterdam. Analyse des peuplements marins benthiques et pélagiques, recherches sur la biologie et la structure des populations chez la langouste Jasus paulensis, hydrologie et chimie des eaux, mesures de pollution, étude de substances chimiques bioactives chez les langoustes et autres invertébrés, étude du cratère de l'ile de Saint Paul, réalisation d'une carte bathymétrique fiable des fonds autour des deux iles.

-Operations benthiques : 49 dragages, 38 chalutages.
-Operations pélagiques : 49 traits de filets obliques ou horizontaux pour collecte de poissons et plancton.
-Operations hydrologiques : stations bathysonde avec prélèvements d'eau pour analyses diverses ; 15 stations autour d¿Amsterdam, 16 stations autour de St Paul, 6 stations sur la radiale joignant les deux iles.
-Operations bathymétriques : levé bathymétrique sur 1100 milles.
-Operations dans le cadre du "Programme Cratère" SE St Paul : 52 plongées en scaphandre autonome, prélèvements d'eau, de faune, flore et sédiment.
-Mesures température et salinité de l'eau.
