Objective Multidisciplinary cruise devoted to exploring and studying islands in the Indian Ocean which are still poorly known, i.e., the islands of Saint Paul and Amsterdam. Analyzing marine benthic and pelagic populations, research on biology and population structures of the St Paul rock lobster Jasus paulensis, hydrology and water chemistry, pollution measurements, studying bioactive chemical substances in rock lobsters and other invertebrates, studying the crater of Saint Paul Island, creating a reliable bathymetric map of the seabeds around the two islands.
