Objective Characterise zero time in the Mediterranean in the period when the thermohaline structure is heterogeneous (late summer, early autumn). This cruise is part of a much broader programme aiming for a number of Mediterranean basins and key zones, to establish, with respect to the circulation there at present: An inventory of isotopic parameters in the water column; how these parameters are related to other hydrogeochemical ones; the impact of the hydrogeochemical parameters on sedimentation and the diversification of populations of organisms with carbonated tests.
