| Objective | Appraising: the spatial distribution of large plankton organisms (gelatinous organisms in particular). The food web context where these organisms live. The flux of organic matter to the seabed (particularly induced by Salpes). Comparing various methods to estimate abundance of macroplankton or micronekton: nets, echosounder, observations on scuba dives and on dives by submersible. To this end, the TROPHOS II mission was combined with the MIGRAGEL (Nadir) and PERIGEL (Korotneff) missions. |
