Objective	Assessment of the demersal resources of the Gulf of Lion in order to ensure, for the main commercial species, the monitoring of annual variations: their distribution, average weight and numerical abundance indices, the composition of the size and age classes. The results obtained during CHALIST 2 should be compared with those obtained in 1983.
