Summary of measurements |
- -Van Veen grab sampling to study macrofauna and granulometry (each sample was photographed).
-Shipeck grab sampling for sedimentology study of the surface layer and the organic matter and stable isotope contents of the sediment. -2 Altus altimeters were deployed to study topographical variations. -Raineck coring and Shipeck grab sampling to study foraminifera and dissolved oxygen profiles in the core samples. -Video recordings with an ROV to describe underwater landscapes. -Recovery of video equipment lost at sea by colleagues on another mission (aboard RV Thalia).
