Objective | In the framework of the FORCLIM programme (with ANR funding for 2006-2008), the objective is to develop an ecophysiological model predicting production fluxes of some planktonic foraminifera representing the main ecological systems as well as their habitat(depth, seasonality) using climate forcing. The ecophysiological and geochemical/isotope parameterizations should be determined using data obtained on cruises at sea. The data coming from opening-closing nets and sediment traps will make it possible to assess the exported fluxes of various foraminifera species and acquire their isotopic and geochemical signals with respect to the depth of thier habitat and their development period. This cruise followed on from the PECH1 cruise in 2006 and the 3 PECH234 cruises performed in 2007. It is related to the ANR FORCLIM project (coordinated by L.Labeyrie, LSCE). |
