| Objective | The purpose of the MORUTENE program is to assess the main cod stocks exploited by the French fishery in the Northwest Atlantic (NAFO Division 4R (NE Gulf of St. Lawrence) and 3P (Southern Banks of Newfoundland)). The purpose of this cruise is to sample the main stocks in order to acquire the information required for their management: calculation of weight and numerical abundance indices, sampling for population dynamics studies, study of trophic and thermal factors determining cod concentrations. |
