Objectif	Etude sédimentologique de l'Océan Indien en liaison avec l'étude structurale afin de déterminer le processus de formation et d'évolution de cet océan au cours des âges géologiques. Évaluation des sites à nodules polymétalliques (7 tonnes de nodules récupérés). Sur le plan biologique, étude des implications de la situation particulière de l'Océan Indien sur la faune.
