Objective	Sedimentological study of the Indian Ocean in connection with the structural study in order to determine the process of formation and evolution of this ocean during geological ages. Evaluation of sites with polymetallic nodules (7 tons of nodules recovered). On the biological level, study of the implications of the special situation of the Indian Ocean on the fauna.
